Kayode obtained his law degree from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria in 1997 and was admitted to the Nigerian Bar in 1999.

In September 1999, he joined the Kano Law firm of C. A. Adolor & Co. and moved to J. B. Majiyagbe & Co. in 2001 as an Associate. He was promoted to Senior Associate in due course and in July 2010 was appointed to head the Kano office.

Kayode is a very competent litigator and over the years has been involved in a number of highly contentious and complex matters. He thinks outside the box and is often able to find and exploit loopholes that provide turning points for matters he is handling.

He regularly appears in the appellate courts and is well versed in their practice and procedure.

Kayode is a member of the Nigerian Bar Association.
