The firm has considerable experience in both the contentious and non-contentious aspects of aviation law.

It advises on the obtainment of aircraft licenses, regulatory issues, aircraft repossession, the lease and acquisition of aircraft and the drafting of all agreements connected thereto.

It is regularly involved in cargo and passenger claims and has experience in air accident disputes.

The firm has been involved in some landmark cases.

In 1989, we acted for British Caledonian Airways Limited in the Court of Appeal case of Chief J.E. Oshevire v. British Caledonian Airways Limited, which until recently remained the most elucidative exposition of the application of the Warsaw Convention under Nigerian law.

In 2013, we acted for the Appellant in KLM Royal Dutch Airlines v. Mustapha J. Taher, groundbreaking denied boarding litigation involving inter alia, the jurisdiction of the Federal High Court to entertain such matters.

We have been described in The Legal 500 as having “a notable niche in aviation law” and the firm is regularly listed in the aviation section of Who’s Who Legal.
